Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Tuesday, the 3rd February, 2015 has unanimously passed the following Resolution moved by Mr. Nand Kumar, MPA:-

“This House resolves that the Provincial Government ensure implementation of 5% quota reserved for minority in employment in government jobs in the Province.”

 *1459. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Works & Services be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that corruption of 2.5 billion has been made in roads department in Dadu and fake bills of 35 crores were made in three days by a retired Engineer on 19th May, 2013;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the details thereof along with the action taken by the government in this regard?

 ANSWER

MIR HAZAR KHAN BAJARANI, Minister for Works & Services:

(a)      This case was indicated by the Anti-Corruption Establishment which had conducted a raid under the supervision of a magistrate. The case is under trial in the Anti-Corruption Court. Mr. Muhammad Muneer Abbasi, the concerned Executive Engineer has not yet retired.

(b)      Important information pertaining to the case is given below:

*2559. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Works & Services be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that Mirpurkhas-Sanghar road has been deteriorated and public is facing hardships;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, steps taken by the government in this regard?

 ANSWER

MIR HAZAR KHAN BAJARANI, Minister for Works & Services:

(a)      Sanghar-Mirpurkhas road Mile 0/0-42/0 (68 Kms) is included in ADP as an on-going scheme for Widening and Reconditioning (with Asphalt Concrete).

The progress of portions from Mirpurkhas side is as under:

(i)       Mile 0/5-1/6 (1.81 Km) work is in progress.

(ii)      Mile 1/6-13/1 (18.71 Km) completed with Asphalt Concrete and is in good condition.

(iii)    Mile 13/1-15/3 (3.62 Km) is also in progress.

 The progress of portions from Sanghar Side is as under:

(i)       Mile 18/0-19/0, Mile 37/5-39/5 and 40/5-41/5 (6.44 Kms) completed.

(ii)      Mile 23/0-24/4 and Mile 39/5-40/5 (2.41 Kms) is in progress.

 (b)      Further Sanghar-Mirpurkhas road (66 Kms) has also been short listed for improvement as part of Technical Assistance TA-8406 PAK Provincial Road Improvement Project assisted by Asian Development Bank (ADB). The road design work is currently being carried out by consultants and is in its final stages. The Provincial Road Improvement Project will be implemented after its approval from the Asian Development Bank probably in June-2015 and other five roads will also b rehabilitated/improved under this program in Sindh.

 *2667. MR. MUHAMMAD MOIN AAMIR PIRZADA: Will the Minister for Information Technology be pleased to state:-

Number of posts filled in Information, Science and Technology department on urban quota during 01-01-2008 to 15-03-2013 along with name, post, BPS and domicile of each employee?

 ANSWER

MR. MUKESH KUMAR CHAWLA, Minister for Information Technology:

No posts were filled on urban quota during 01-01-2008 to 15-03-2013 in Information Science & Technology Department, Government of Sindh.

 *2861. DR. SIKANDAR SHORO: Will the Minister for Information Technology be pleased to state:-

Number of call centers working in the province of Sindh along with the conditions to be fulfilled to establish the said centers?

 ANSWER

MR. MUKESH KUMAR CHAWLA, Minister for Information Technology:

Call Centers are related with Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) which is a federal entity. No Call Center is working under the IS&T Department, therefore, the reply be treated as Nil.
