Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Monday, the 24th March, 2014 has unanimously passed the following Resolution moved by Jam Madad Ali Khan, MPA, Dr. Sikander Mandhro, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Sindh, Mr. Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh, MPA and Syed Sardar Ahmed, MPA:-

          “This Assembly resolves to pay tribute to Shaheed Pir Sabghatullah Shah Rashdi alias Soorah Badshah on his 71st Death Anniversary on 20th March and salute him for his brave courage’s and incessant struggle for Freedom against the British Raj.”

LIST OF STARRED ASSEMBLY QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS FOR

*861. DR. MUHAMMAD RAFIQUE BANBHAN: Will the Minister for Industries be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that new industries have been established in the province during 2012-2013;

(b)   If answer to (a) above be in the affirmative, the district-wise details thereof together with the amount spent?

ANSWER

SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Minister for Industries:

(a)   Yes, it is fact that 355 Industries have been established during the year 2012-2013 in Sindh Province.

(b)   The district-wise details of the units are show in the list at placed on the table of the House.

As regards amount spent, it is stated that under Government liberal policy, private investors neither obtain NOC for establishing the unit from the Industries Department, Government of Sindh, nor intimate their investment incurred in the project, so the information on the matter of amount spent is not available.

 

*963. MS. NAHEED BEGUM: Will the Minister for Industries be pleased to state:-

Number of industrial estates working in the entire province along with the names of new industrial/economic zones recently established?

 ANSWER

SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Minister for Industries:

Sindh Small Industries Corporation and Sindh Industrial Trading estate limited are involved and establishing and developing industrial estates in the province, so far SSIC has established 18 Industrial estate alongwith three Industrial parks, list at Annexure-I, placed on the table of the House and SITE limited is running thirteen industrial estate (list at Annexure-II, placed on the table of the House. including newly established Larkana industrial estate.

 

 *1013. MS. HEER SOHO: Will the Minister for Industries be pleased to state:-

(a)   Number of textile industries at present working in the province;

(b)   Is it a fact that the number of above has increased during 2002 to 2013 upto June;

(c)    If answer to (b) is affirmative, the details thereof?

 ANSWER

SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Minister for Industries:

(a)      Number of textile industries at present working in the Sindh Province is 523.

(b)      Yes, during 2002-2013 (up to June) total to 282 textile units has been established in the province.

(c)      The district wise details of textile industries established during the period 2002-2013 is at Annexure, placed on the table of the House.

 

*1316. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Industries be pleased to state:-

Location-wise number/name of industries situated in residential areas in the province?

 ANSWER

SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Minister for Industries:

No any industrial estate established and developed by Sindh Small Industries Corporation and Sindh Industrial Trading Estate falls under territorial jurisdiction of the residential areas. However, the industries running/situated in the residential areas are neither registered with any Government agency nor reported by local administration.
