BILQUEES MUKHTAR, MPA: The Honourable Minister for Home may please to give the answer/ statement that the 72 bonded labourers have been recovered from personal prison of landlord in Umerkot. Why Law enforcement agencies do not take action against Private detention of poor farmers in various areas of interior Sindh.

2.      CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 31 OF 2014;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MS. NUSRAT BANO SEHER ABBASI, MPA: The Honourable Minister for Home, Sindh may please answer that what are the measures taken to equip Sindh Police with latest and modern automatic weapons.

3.      CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 26 OF 2014;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. KAMRAN AKHTER, MPA: The Honourable Minister for Local Government to give the answer / statement that the District West Karachi is facing shortage of drinking water, as a routine in the past 100 MGD Gallons of water have supplied but it more decrease now a days from 100 MGD to 60 MGD supply why?

4.      CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 20 OF 2014;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MS. HEER SOHO, MPA: The Honourable Minister for Finance may please to give the answer/ statement that only six months have left but Sindh Government has not constituted Committee for 8^th NFC Award.

5.      CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 16 OF 2014;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY SYED KHALID AHMED, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Local Government kindly inform that is it true that WAPDA have reduce the allocated quota of water from 100 MGD to 70 MGD from Hub River source for Karachi.

(A) if it is true, what steps have been taken by the Department for restoration of allocated quota to deal with the water crises in Karachi.

*532. MS. BILQUEES MUKHTAR: Will the Minister for Works & Services be pleased to state:-

Number of Government buildings damaged of different reasons during 2009 to 2011?

 ANSWER

MIR HAZAR KHAN BAJARANI, Minister for Works & Services:

During 2009

-2011 a total of 1865 Building were damaged due to heavy rains/flood. The district wise detail is as under:-

(a)   Is it a fact that the Government repairs public buildings damaged of any reason;

(b)   If answer to (a) above be in the affirmative, the number of the same repaired during 2008 to 2010?

 ANSWER

MIR HAZAR KHAN BAJARANI, Minister for Works & Services:

(a)      Yes.

(b)      During 2008-2010 a total of 777 buildings have been repaired from normal M&R grant.

At present there is a network of roads in Sindh, number of kilometers of roads constructed by district-wise provincial-wise there, along with detail?

 ANSWER

As per road statistics of Works & Services Department, there are 17631 kms of Provincial roads and 28820 kms of District roads. Hence total kms of roads pertaining to Works & Services Department is 46451 Kms. District wise details of provincial roads and district roads is as under:-

District-wise number of small and large bridges constructed during 2011-13 upto June?

 ANSWER

MIR HAZAR KHAN BAJARANI, Minister for Works & Services:

District-wise number of small and large bridge constructed during 2011 to 2013 upto June are as under:-

 *787. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Works & Services be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that after flood, 2010 Gozo-Buriro road in K.N Shah deteriorated after one month of its re-construction due to use of defective material;

(b)   Is it also a fact that Khundi-Chaki, Rawat Leghari, Naurang Chandio and other link roads could not be constructed yet;

(c)    If answer to (b) above be in the affirmative, the reasons thereof?

 ANSWER

MIR HAZAR KHAN BAJARANI, Minister for Works & Services:

(a)   Yes. The portion of Gozo-Buriro road mile 4/2-12/2 was rehabilitated/reconstructed under Flood Emergency Reconstruction Project (FERP) after floods of 2010. It is a fact that the road deteriorated soon after its reconstruction, but that was due to excessive axle loading of vehicles and not due to use of defective materials. The road was designed at Standard Axle load of 8.5 Ton as per site condition. However, after completion of road trucks having an Axle load of 20-25 tons started to ply on this road for transportation of boulders for rehabilitation of F.P bund and hence road could not sustain heavy traffic load and started to deteriorate. The construction material initially used confirmed to the international standards of material testing such as AASHTO, ASTM, BS. The deteriorated portion is however being re-done and entire work will be completed by the end of February, 2014.

(b)   Yes, but now the road, Indus Highway to Kanhi Chukhi (mile 0/0-4/0) has been incorporated in M&R Programme of Provincial Highways Division Dadu for the financial year 2013-14. The remaining two roads i.e. Rawat Leghari and Naurage Chandio have also been incorporated in M&R Programme of Highways Division Dadu (District setup) for financial year 2013-14. Due to non-release of M&R funds to District Dadu, the M&R work could not be taken in hand as of now.

(c)    Repair work of Indus Highway to Kandi Chukhi (mile 0/0-4/0) would be carried out on receiving 2nd quarter of M&R funds from Finance Department during the current financial year 2013-14 and other two (2) roads will be taken up after release of M&R funds by Finance Department for the district highways setup of District Dadu.
