Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Friday, the 20th December, 2013 has unanimously passed the following Resolution moved by Dr. Sikandar Mandhro, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Sindh, Syed Sardar Ali Shah, MPA, Mr. Fayyaz Ali Butt, MPA and Mr. Imdad Ali Pitafi, MPA:- “This Assembly resolves to pay tribute to great Sufi Saints Shah Abdul latif Bhittai and Shah Inayat Shaheed.
Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai was not only a Sufi saint but he was a great poet and the thinker of all time who pave the path of Sindhi Language, Culture and Sufi Traditions.
Shah Inayat Shaheed was the first Socialist sufi who fought for the rights of the peasants, having the slogan of “JO KHARE SO KHAI” He was also a great believer of the “WAHDATUL WUJOOD”.

Holiday insindh on Shahadat Anniversary of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto on 27th December.
“Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto; was Pakistani politician who chaired the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), a centre-left political party in Pakistan. Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was the first woman elected to lead a Muslim State, having twice been Prime Minister of Islamic Republic of Pakistan (1988-1990 and 1993-1996). She was Pakistan’s first and to date only female Prime Minister.
Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was brutally assassinated on 27th of December, 2007, after departing a PPP rally in the Pakistani City of Rawalpindi, before the two weeks scheduled Pakistani general election of 2008 where she was a leading candidate. The following year she was named one of seven winners of the United Nations Prize in the Field of Human Rights.
This august forum i.e Sindh Assembly as proposed to declare 27th of every December a Republic Holiday in Sindh and pray for Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.”

Procedure of Allotment.
On receipt of an application from an industrialist’s alongwith 10% payment of premium through Pay order and one year advance rent, the same is processed through Land Section and submitted to the Managing Director SITE Ltd. Who is authorized by the Board of Directors to allot and at SITE Kotri, Hyderabad, Nooriabad, Tando Adam and Sukkur.

Year in which Nooriabad Industrial Estate was established with purpose of same along with number of industrial plots initially developed and to whom plots allotted as well as facilities provided to industrialists during last five years of the project?
ANSWER
MR. SHARJEEL INAM MEMON, Minister for Industries:
The Government of Sindh granted 5,000 acres land to Sindh Industrial Trading Estate Ltd. for establishment of Industrial Estate (Nooriabad) along Super Highway.
The Possession of 3,000 acres was handed over in 1983 and remaining 2,000 acres in 2004.
The purpose of the above was to promote industrialization in the Province of Sindh. Initially 47 No. of Plots are were developed (Detail at Annexure, placed on the table of the House). The facilities like Sui Gas, Electricity, Water Supply Drainage and Telephone are available in Estate.
In order to cater the requirement of water of the industries project of 5 MGD (5000000 gallons/day) from Keenjhar lake has been completed during last 05 years.

Amount allocated/spent on the construction, repair and maintenance of roads in Kotri SITE area during 2003-04 to 2012-13?
ANSWER
MR. SHARJEEL INAM MEMON, Minister for Industries:
Amount allocated on the construction, repair and maintenance of the roads of SITE Kotri during 2003-04 to 2012-13 was Rs. 91,290,000. The amount spent during the subject period was Rs. 34,001,980.
*370. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Industries be pleased to state:-
(a) Is it a fact that 5 mill owners have closed their thread mills at industrial zone, Nooriabad resulting 6000 workers have become jobless;
(b) If answer to (a) above be in the affirmative, the reasons thereof including the steps taken by the government in this regard?

(a) Yes, the following five (05) Industrial Thread Mills have been closed including 04 within limits of Site Nooriabad and 01 out side its boundaries.
