KAMRAN AKHTER, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for SGA&CD, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that after the result of Census Councial of Common Interest has decided to do the Census again in 5% Blocks but Sindh Government has neglected Karachi City and no work has yet been done and the post of Provincial Census Commissioner is vacant since long and no any Officer has yet been nominated; What steps have been taken by the Government in this regard?

4.   CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 47 OF 2018;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY SYED AMEER HYDER SHAH SHEERAZI, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Irrigation, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that water is not available in any Canal in District Thatta. What measures Government intends to take in this regard?

5.   CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 44 OF 2018;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. MUHAMMAD DILAWAR QURESHI, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that the policy and plan ot regularize the employees of WASA, HDA and HMC Hyderabad, as these employees are working on very low wages for the last of many years?

*5150. MR. KAMRAN AKHTAR: Will the Minister for Excise & Taxation be pleased to state:-

District-wise name, number, domicile and grade of ETOs working in the Excise Department in the Province?

 ANSWER

MR. MUKESH KUMAR CHAWLA, Minister for Excise & Taxation:

The requisite information in respect of this Directorate General, E,T&NC, Sindh and other Directorates E,T&NC, Sindh is at Annexure, placed on the Table of the House.

 *5162. MR. KAMRAN AKHTAR: Will the Minister for Excise & Taxation be pleased to state:-

(a)      Is it a fact that motor vehicle tax on foreign vehicles such as wagons, Jeeps, Mercedes and BMW Cars is collected by Excise and Taxation Department;

(b)      If answer to (a) above is affirmative, number of foreign vehicles brought during 2013 to 2015 along with tax collected thereupon?

 ANSWER

MR. MUKESH KUMAR CHAWLA, Minister for Excise & Taxation:

(a)      Yes it is a fact that imported (foreign) vehicles cleared from the Customs Department, Government of Pakistan such as Wagons, Jeeps, Mercedes and BMW Cars are registered by this department and Motor Vehicle Tax alongwith Registration Fee etc. are recovered from such vehicles.

(b)      A chart showing number of imported (foreign) vehicles registered and taxes/duties registered is as under:-

District/grade-wise number/name of persons appointed in Excise and Taxation Department during 2015-16 alongwith criteria followed in this regard?

MR. MUKESH KUMAR CHAWLA, Minister for Excise & Taxation:

Only one i.e. Mr. Amir Ahmed Ansari S/o Bashir Ahmed Ansari, Ex-AETO, E,T&NCD was appointed as Excise Constable (BPS-05) against deceased quota during 2015-16 under Rule-11(A) of Sindh Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules 1974, by the Director Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Shaheed Benazirabad, with the approval of Competent Authority i.e. Chief Minister, Sindh.
