What steps Government intends to take in this regard?

4.   CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 22 OF 2018;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. KHURRAM SHER ZAMAN, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Excise and Taxation, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that regarding presence of liquor shop near public places such as Mosque, School, Residential and Commercial Areas where Law dose not allow department to give permission for sale of liquor near fustic places?

5.   CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 21 OF 2018;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY DR. MUHAMMAD RAFIQUE BANBHAN, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Irrigation, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that what is the gauge of three canals from Mirwah Canal Trijunction (i) Faiz GanJ Canal (ii) Pandhryo Canal (iii) Ali Nawaz Canal & What is the current gauge of these three canals from Trijunction of Mirwah Canal?

*2005. MS. KHAIRUNNISA MUGHAL: Will the Minister for Wildlife be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that no appropriate steps for the protection of wildlife are being taken in the province and the same is being ignored;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reasons thereof along with the measures taken by the government in this regard?

 ANSWER

SYED MURAD ALI SHAH, (Chief Minister) Minister for Wildlife:

No, it is not fact that no appropriate steps for protection of Wildlife are being taken in the province and same is being ignored.

Following is the list of actions under process.

1.    Preparations of Sindh Wildlife Protection Act 2014 for effective protection is already in the Assembly Secretariat.

2.    Re-organization and re-structuring of Sindh Wildlife Department and establishment of formation at district level which was previously absent.

3.    Periodical surveys are planned for the first time in history and new heads have been created which is key to effective protection.

4.    Breeding farms, Game farms are being encouraged in private sector in order to reduce pressure on natural resources.

These are the concrete steps which are being under taken by Government and are under process.

Grade/district-wise number of people appointed in Wildlife department during 2016-2017 alongwith procedure followed for appointments?

 ANSWER

SYED MURAD ALI SHAH, (Chief Minister) Minister for Wildlife:

          No appointment has taken place in Sindh Wildlife Department during financial year 2016-2017.

 *6508. MR. KAMRAN AKHTAR: Will the Minister for Wildlife be pleased to state:-

Grade-wise number/name of persons appointed in Wildlife Department during 2015-16 alongwith criteria followed for the same?

 ANSWER

          No appointment has taken place in Sindh Wildlife Department during financial year 2015-2016.

 *6519. MR. KAMRAN AKHTAR: Will the Minister for Forest be pleased to state:-

Grade/district-wise number/name of persons recruited in Forest Department during 2014-2015 and 2015-16 alongwith procedure followed in this regard?

During the year 2014-15 total 30 appointments were made and detailed information is enclosed at Annexure, placed on the Table of the House.
