Department-wise number of new ADP schemes allocated during 2012-13?

 ANSWER

MIR HAZAR KHAN BIJARANI, Minister for Planning & Development:

          There were 1323 new schemes included in the ADP 2012-13 (Sector-wise/department position of schemes) is at Annexure, placed on the Table of the House.

 *502. MS. HEER SOHO: Will the Minister for Planning & Development be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that total new ADP schemes have been approved, tender passed and work started during 2012-13;

(b)   If answer to (a) above be in the affirmative, the department-wise details thereof?

 ANSWER

MIR HAZAR KHAN BIJARANI, Minister for Planning & Development:

    (a)      There were 1323 new schemes included in ADP 2012-13. Out of which 819 schemes were approved and work on 221 schemes had been started during the financial year 2012-13.

    (b)      The department-wise detail of approved schemes at Annexure, placed on the Table of the House.

(a)   Is it a fact that a development project was initiated for open cast mining under ADP(147)2008-2009;

(b)   Is it also a fact that above project is still continue;

(c)    If answer to (a) and (b) above is affirmative, the progress so far made in this regard?

 ANSWER

MIR HAZAR KHAN BIJARANI, Minister for Planning & Development:

    (a)      A development scheme namely “Development of Open Cast mining in Thar Coalfield (including feasibility study)” was included in ADP 2008-09 at a total cost of Rs.5000 million. However, the same was dropped in the year 2009-10 due to signing of Joint Venture agreement for development of Open Cast Mining in Thar Coalfield at Block-II with M/s Engro Corp.

    (b)      No, it is not a fact.

 *4449. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Planning & Development be pleased to state:-

(a)      Is it a fact that non-technical officers are working against the technical cadre posts in the

department;

(b)      If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the details and reasons thereof?

 ANSWER

MIR HAZAR KHAN BIJARANI, Minister for Planning & Development:

          No. There is no such case as far as Planning & Development Department is concerned.

 *5744. MR. KHURRAM SHER ZAMAN: Will the Minister for Planning & Development be pleased to state:-

(a)      Are there any plans to establish a Planning Commission of Sindh;

(b)      If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the details thereof?

 ANSWER

MIR HAZAR KHAN BIJARANI, Minister for Planning & Development:

          No. There are no plans to establish a planning commission of Sindh.

 *6409. MR. KAMRAN AKHTAR: Will the Minister for Planning & Development be pleased to state:-

District/grade-wise number of persons appointed in P&D department during 2016-17 alongwith criteria followed for the same?

 ANSWER

MIR HAZAR KHAN BIJARANI, Minister for Planning & Development:

Following appointments have been made during the calendar year 2016-2017 in Planning and Development Department and its attached offices/projects/program:

           Planning & Development Department (Secretariat Side)

17 (seventeen) Planning Officer(BS-17) have been appointed on the recommendation of Sindh Public Service Commission (list attached at Annexure-I, placed on the Table of the House)

 Bureau of Statistics (P&D Department)

Mr. Safaraz Ahmed s/o Late Wazir Ahmed has been appointed as Naib Qasid (BS-01) against deceased quota (Annexure-II, placed on the Table of the House).

           Water Sector Improvement Project (P&D Department)

03 (three) Deputy Directors have been appointed on contractual basis through competitive process conducted by the team of Food & Agriculture Organization (FAO) as per agreement/understanding with World Bank (Annexure-III, placed on the Table of the House).
