*775. MS. SUMETA AFZAL SYED: Will the Minister for Education be pleased to state:-
Number of schools under K.M.C along with the number of the same under Ministry of Education?
ANSWER
JAM MEHTAB HUSSAIN DAHAR, Minister for Education:
Total 45447 schools out of which 593 schools (1.3%) are reported under KMC as per Annual Census 2015-2016.
*2136. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Education be pleased to state:-
(a) Is it a fact that the condition of government girls primary school Khadhan, District Badin is deteriorated and lives of children are in danger;
(b) If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the steps taken by the department in this regard?
ANSWER
JAM MEHTAB HUSSAIN DAHAR, Minister for Education:
The building of Government Girls Primary School Khadhan, district Badin was deteriorated during the flood of 2011 and the students of the said schools have been shifted to Government Girls Middle School Khadhan.
Funds for repair of the building of Government Girls Primary School, Khadhan, district Badin has been earmarked during the current financial year and this repair work will be started soon by the Works & Services Department, Badin.
In addition, construction work for new building of Government Girls Middle Khadhan has been started by the Works & Services Department, Badin.
*2706. DR. SEEMA ZIA: Will the Minister for Education be pleased to state:-
Pay scale of primary, middle, secondary and higher secondary school teachers?
ANSWER
JAM MEHTAB HUSSAIN DAHAR, Minister for Education:
There are following categories of the teachers PST, JST, HST and Subject Specialists (SS) and their pay scales are as under:
1. PST BPS-09
2. JST BPS-14
3. HST BPS-15/16
4. Subject Specialist BPS-17
*3291. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Education be pleased to state:-
(a) Is it a fact that influential persons have converted school of village Tamachani at Sukkur into buffalo keeping and developed godown to store stalk of grass;
(b) If answer to (a) above is affirmative, action taken by the department in this regard?
ANSWER
JAM MEHTAB HUSSAIN DAHAR, Minister for Education:
The Director School Education (Primary) Sukkur paid visit to GGPS Tamachani and GBELS Tamachani, New Sukkur, both the schools were functioning properly and staff were present in the school and there was no any buffalo kept nor developed godown to store grains in the premises of school.
*3292. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Education be pleased to state:-
(a) Is it a fact that boys middle school at village Godo Khan Gargej near Obaro has been deserted and girls school has been closed for 20 years;
(b) If answer to (a) above is affirmative, steps taken by the department in this regard?
ANSWER
JAM MEHTAB HUSSAIN DAHAR, Minister for Education:
No any Middle School namely village Godo Khan Gurgaij in taluka Ubauro, district Ghotki. Furthermore, there are two middle schools i.e. Government Boys Middle School Dilwaro and Government Girls Middle School Dilwaro are functioning with low enrolment in the same vicinity and both schools were damaged due to floods of 2010 and heavy rain of 2011. Now both schools are under major repair.
*3447. MS. SORATH THEBO: Will the Minister for Education be pleased to state:-
(a) Is it a fact that salaries are not being paid to teachers recruited in the province during 2012 and 2013;
(b) If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reasons thereof alongwith number of teachers at present working without salaries in the department for the last 8 months?
ANSWER
JAM MEHTAB HUSSAIN DAHAR, Minister for Education:
No. All teachers recruited through test conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS) are getting their salaries. Details of the same are also available on the following website link:

*3607. MS. HEER SOHO: Will the Minister for Education be pleased to state:-
District-wise number of girls schools exist in the province along with number out of above functioning?
ANSWER
JAM MEHTAB HUSSAIN DAHAR, Minister for Education:
Total number of Girls Schools in Sindh Province are 6868 out of which 5654 are functional, 28144 schools are mixed, where girls are also enrolled.

(a) Is it a fact that Education & Literacy department has a policy of acquiring private or public land for development of schools;
(b) If answer to (a) above is negative, does department plan on developing such a policy in future?
ANSWER
JAM MEHTAB HUSSAIN DAHAR, Minister for Education:
There is no specific policy for acquiring private or public land for development of schools, however, it is inbuilt in planning process that “availability of Government land (free of cost) or a private land (donated by person/community of that area free of cost) is pre-requisite for construction/establishment of new school”.
