*3702. MS. NAILA MUNIR: Will the Minister for Labour be pleased to state:-
According to facts and figures number of children below the age of 14 years at present compelled to work forcibly in the province, details thereof?
ANSWER
SYED NASIR HUSSAIN SHAH, Minister for Labour:
At present, Directorate of Labour, Sindh does not possess any authentic data on Child Labour. However, “Child Labour Survey” is being conducted throughout Sindh with technical assistance of UNICEF and data of survey will be available after its completion.
*3729. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Labour be pleased to state:-
District-wise number of factories, mills and industries running in the province including number of employees working in each on regular/daily wages basis?

SYED NASIR HUSSAIN SHAH, Minister for Labour:
The Directorate of Labour, Sindh does not maintain administratively controlled district-wise data, rather it has its own administrative setup that is division/region. On the basis of these division/region, the data is as below:-

*4576. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Labour be pleased to state:-
(a) Is it a fact that workers colony constructed for workers in Thatta is looking forward for its occupants for last 20 years, 2 rooms consisting quarters are being destroyed slowly and miscreants have stolen main steel gate, shutter, sanitary and electricity fixtures;
(b) If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reasons thereof alongwith steps taken by the department in this regard?
ANSWER
SYED NASIR HUSSAIN SHAH, Minister for Labour:
(a) It is submitted that the workers colony at Thatta was completed in year 2000. Thereafter was allotted to the industrial workers of Thatta. It is occupied by the industrial workers.
(b) Not applicable.
*6644. MR. KAMRAN AKHTAR: Will the Minister for Labour be pleased to state:-
District-wise number of new health institutes of Labour Department established as well as up-graded in the Province during 2015-16 alongwith amount spent for it?
ANSWER
SYED NASIR HUSSAIN SHAH, Minister for Labour:
No new health institute has been established as well as upgraded in the province during the year, 2015-16, hence no amount has been spent.
*6673. MR. KAMRAN AKHTAR: Will the Minister for Labour be pleased to state:-
District-wise number of new schools/institutes of Labour Department opened in the Province during 2015-16 as well as amount spent in this regard?
ANSWER
SYED NASIR HUSSAIN SHAH, Minister for Labour:
No new schools/institutes have been opened in the province during the year 2015-16.
