(a)   Is it a fact that 175 thousand cases of violation of human rights, corruption and other offences are lying pending for hearing;

   (b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reasons thereof?

ANSWER

MR. ZIA-UL-HASAN LANJAR, Minister for Law:

    (a)      In fact there are no cases of violation of human rights and cases of corruption pending with district judiciary.

    (b)      However, there are 60967 cases of other offences (criminal cases) are pending with district judiciary. The details of such cases as well as district judiciary, anticorruption courts and cases of other offences in the ex-cadre courts/tribunals are given as under:-
