Date of establishment of Sindh Wildlife Management Board as well as the number of its members?
ANSWER
SYED MURAD ALI SHAH, (Chief Minister) Minister for Wildlife:
The Sindh Wildlife Management Board has been established in the year 2013, comprising on twelve (12) members is at Annexure, placed on the Table of the House.
*1776. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Wildlife be pleased to state:-
(a) Is it a fact that birds/animals trader association has demanded to lift ban on export/import of species of the same;
(b) If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the period from which ban has been imposed including the reasons of ban?

The names of species have not been indicated for ban on their export/import, thus the period of same and reasons cannot be explained.
*2935. MR. SHEERAZ WAHEED: Will the Minister for Wildlife be pleased to state:-
The number of Wildlife Sanctuaries and Game Reserve in Sindh as on December 31,2013 and whether it is fact that no increase has been made since July 1977?
ANSWER
SYED MURAD ALI SHAH, (Chief Minister) Minister for Wildlife:
It is fact that Wildlife Sanctuaries and Game Reserve in Sindh have been increased since July 1977 as on December 31, 2013. The numbers of Wildlife Sanctuaries is 33 and Game Reserves are 13. The details are given below:

2. Nara Desert 17th August 1980.
3. Runn of Kutch 9th November 1981.
4. Lung Lake 4th July 1982.

Number of Government game fields in Sindh?
ANSWER

There are total 13 Game Reserves in Sindh Province declared under Sindh Wildlife Protection Ordinance, 1972.
*3127. MR. KAMRAN AKHTAR: Will the Minister for Wildlife be pleased to state:-
(a) Is it a fact that Sindh Wild Life Department is carrying census of animals every year in Khirthar National Park;
(b) If answer to (a) above be in the affirmative, the census report for last five years showing the details that how many species of wild life are present in the Park along with their numbers increased or decreased with reasons?
ANSWER
SYED MURAD ALI SHAH, (Chief Minister) Minister for Wildlife:
Detailed faunal census of animals were carried out in Khirthar National Park in the year 1974, 2000 and 2011.
According to the census reports, the population of the Ibex has increased marginally from 13155 to over 13750 in 2000 as against 1200 in 1974. Similarly the population of wild sheep (Urial) has increased to 12359 from 10425 in 2000 from 150 in 1974 and Chinkara Gazelle to 1891 from 1060 in 2000 and 480 in 1974.
There are 203 bird species, 36 mammal species, 38 reptile species and 03 amphibians are found in Khirthar National Park the reasons of increase in animal population are high protection and conservation measures taken by Sindh Wildlife Department.
