*3431. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Labour be pleased to state:-

Grade-wise name/number of non-cadre and non-civil servants working in the department?

 ANSWER

SYED MURAD ALI SHAH (Chief Minister), Minister for Labour:

No any non-cadre and non-civil servant is working in Labour and Human Resources Department.

 *3891. MR. KHAWAJA IZHAR-UL-HASAN: Will the Minister for Labour be pleased to state:-

Amount collected by Sindh Employees Social Security Institution from Karachi during 2013 and 2014 along with detail expenditure of same in Karachi?

 ANSWER

SYED MURAD ALI SHAH (Chief Minister), Minister for Labour:

It is stated that amount collected by SESSI from Karachi and expenditure made thereof for the period of 2013-2014 (details is at Annexure I, II and III placed on the Table of the House) is given as under:-

Total collection of Rs.2,405,517,193.00.

Total expenditure of Rs.1,933,114,635.00.

 *4204. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Labour be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that posting of Inspectors is necessary to monitor the children working in factories under Child Labour Act 1991;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, number of Inspectors posted in the factories?

 ANSWER

SYED MURAD ALI SHAH (Chief Minister), Minister for Labour:

(a)      Yes, it is necessary to appoint Inspectors for the purpose of securing compliance with the provision of Employment of Children Act, 1991 as contemplated under section 17 of this Act, which is reproduced as under:

Section 17: Appointment of Inspectors:

“The appropriate Government may appoint Inspectors for the purpose of securing compliance with the provision of this Act and any Inspector so appointed shall be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of Pakistan Penal Code.”

(b)      130 Inspectors of Factories and Shop have been posted by the Labour and Human Resources Department, Sindh to implement the Employment of Children Act, 1991.

 *4527. MS. HEER SOHO: Will the Minister for Labour be pleased to state:-

(a)      Whether any new amendment has been made in Labour Act, 1991;

(b)      If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the details thereof?

 ANSWER

SYED MURAD ALI SHAH (Chief Minister), Minister for Labour:

    (a)      There is no any law under the title of “Labour Act, 1991” existed in this province, hence no any amendment has been proposed.

    (b)      As stated above.

 *4528. MS. HEER SOHO: Will the Minister for Labour be pleased to state:-

Number of NGOs presently working for the welfare of Labour sector’s children/labours?

ANSWER

There is no any NGO registered, which is working on Labour sector’s children/labours. However, the list of NGOs presently working on children fields is given below:
