At present, there are four Women Crisis Center(s) working in the Sindh. These Centers have since been re-designated and now functioning as Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Center for Women.
The names of the Districts are:-

(a) All the Women Crises Centers now (Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Center for Women) are providing help to affected women.
(b) Medical aid, Psychological Counseling and Legal aid, are being provided to the needy women, Shelter facility is also being provided in Jacobabad and Benazirabad for 48 hours.

(a) Location of the women development office in Sukkur along with procedure/criteria by whom the relief is provided to the women by the department;

The information provided by Directorate of Women Development Sindh it is submitted that:-
(a) Women Development Office established in Deputy Commissioner’s Office building, Sukkur.
The Women Development Officer is the incharge of WDD office and responsible for coordination and linkages with relevant line Departments, NGOS and Civil Society Organizations. The officer takes cognizance on receipt of complaint either in person or through courier. The officer provides counseling to the women victim of violence and also provides legal aid to the victim and destitute women.
(b) Yes, a Women Complaint Cell exists in Sukkur.

(a) Is it a fact that Women Development Department created in 2003;
(b) If answer to (a) above be in affirmative, goals and targets achieved by the department after 2003 alongwith steps taken regarding “Eliminate of gender discrimination”?
ANSWER
SYED MURAD ALI SHAH (Chief Minister), Minister for Women Development:
(a) After bifurcation from group department i.e. Social Welfare & Women Development, the Women Development Department, has been established in 2003 as single entity for the development and empower of Women in Sindh.
(b) Since its established as a sole department, in this regard, Women Development Department has taken number of initiatives and steps towards economic, social, political, legal rights of Women and for elimination of gender discrimination of Women through various ADP’s scheme and others projects throughout province for better and effective coordination and collaboration with provincial departments, District Administration, NGOs, Community and Civil Society. The details are as under:
· Provincial Assembly of Sindh passed Domestic Violence (Prevention and protection) Act, 2013 to prevent women, children and other vulnerable persons from all forms of domestic violence.
· Provincial Assembly of Sindh passed “Early Child Marriage Restrain Act, 2013” on 28th April, 2014.
· Provincial Assembly of Sindh passed “Sindh Provincial Commission on Status of Women Act, 2015”.
· Constitution of Provincial Watch Committee for facilitating and monitoring the implementation of the “Protection against Harassment of women at Workplace Act-2010”.
· Established Sales & Display Recourses at Karachi for Display and Sales of Women Artisan product.
· Established Day Care centre for providing relief to working Women.
· Established Women Complaint cell for aid to Women in distress at Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpurkhas and Benazirabad.
· Impart baby child care training for more than 1500 hundred in all over Sindh.
· Arranged BBSYDP training more than Four Thousand Women/girls from all over Sindh.
· Organized a series of Seminar, Workshop, Conferences and walks on Women empowerment and issues related to women.

Steps taken by the department regarding “Improvement of working condition of female workers in urban and rural areas” during 2009 to 2013?
ANSWER
SYED MURAD ALI SHAH (Chief Minister), Minister for Women Development:
The Women Development Department has taken various initiatives/steps taken regarding “improvement of working condition of female workers in urban and rural areas” during 2009-2013. The details are as under:-
· Constitution of Provincial Watch Committee for facilitation and implementation of the “Protection Ombudsperson to register and address the victim working women.
· All the administrative departments and District Administration have been approached to constitute Sun-committees in their offices/jurisdiction to register and address the complaints of working women their offices.
· Labour Department was requested to take necessary action to amend the labour law in accordance with the “Protection against harassment of Women at Workplace act, 2010.
· Baby Child Care Program which imparting training of more than 1500 women in all over the Sindh.
· Establishment of three Day Care Centers at Karachi which will be extended one each at divisional level.

District wise number of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Women Centres exists in the province alogwith number of women provided relief through the same during 2009 to 2013 with nature of relief?

There are four Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Women Centres in Sindh at Karachi, Hyderabad, Shaheed Benazirabad and Jacobabad. The progress reports from all four centres from 2009 to 2013 are at Annexure, placed on the table of the House.
