KAMRAN AKHTER, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that an agreement was accorded between Solid Waste Management Board and a China Company to lift garbage from South and Districts of Karachi, according to agreement company had to start lifting garbage, which has not yet started; reasons thereof?

 145.   Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

Is it fact that sugar sticks have not been provided into the O.P.D of Civil Hospital, Karachi, patients asked to bring it from outside the Hospital, steps taken by the Government to address the grievances with details?

Hospital-wise number of house job doctors paid stipend with amount of stipend during 2011 to 2013?

The detail is as under:-

District-wise names of government hospitals where facility of mammography provided during 2009-2012?

 ANSWER

DR. SIKANDAR ALI MANDHRO, Minister for Health:

District-wise names of Government Hospitals where facility of Mammography was provided during 2009-12.

*3054.MS. HEER SOHO: Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

Duration of nursing course and yearly number of male/female students enroll and get degrees?

 ANSWER

DR. SIKANDAR ALI MANDHRO, Minister for Health:

Duration of general nursing course is 03 years.

Data of last three (03) years is as follows:

 *3513.MS. HEER SOHO: Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that planning is being made to hand over 1137 basic health centers to PPHI for further five years;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the details thereof?

 ANSWER

DR. SIKANDAR ALI MANDHRO, Minister for Health:

(a)   The fact is that at present the PPHI is running 1139 Government owned Basic Health Units/Dispensaries/Maternal and Child Health Centers in 22 districts of Sindh under a MoU signed in October 2013 which is valid till October 2018. The further extension will be reviewed before the end of October 2018.

(b)   As above.

 *3904.MR. ABDUL HASEEB: Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

District-wise/town-wise number of people died due to dengue virus in Karachi during 01-07-2010 to 31-12-2010?

 ANSWER

DR. SIKANDAR ALI MANDHRO, Minister for Health:

          In year 2010, the number of people died of Dengue was 25.

          District-wise and town-wise details of these 25 deaths is not available with the program.

 *4228.MS. NAILA MUNIR: Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

Number of children died in famine due to nutrition deficiency in Tharparkar during February 2014 to March 2014 along with steps taken to combat famine?

 ANSWER

DR. SIKANDAR ALI MANDHRO, Minister for Health:

Only one child death was reported in district Tharparkar during the period between February 1^st 2014 and March 31^st 2014, inclusive.

 *4237.MS. NAILA MUNIR: Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

Number of children died in Tharparkar during November, 2013 to March, 2014 alongwith budget allocated to stop the same?

 ANSWER

DR. SIKANDAR ALI MANDHRO, Minister for Health:

The number of unfortunate children who died in district Tharparkar during period between November 2013 and March 2014 was 374.

Following is the total budget allocated to district Tharparkar for medicines.

F.Y 2013-2014       -        36,434,000

F.Y 2014-2015       -        48,895,000

 *4867.MR. MUHAMMAD DILAWAR QURESHI: Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

(a)      Is it a fact that Cardio Unit of Government Hospital Paretabad, Hyderabad is closed since long and is not providing required facilities;

(b)      If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reasons thereof alongwith practical steps taken to start the same?

 ANSWER

DR. SIKANDAR ALI MANDHRO, Minister for Health:

    (a)      The cardiac unit of Government Hospital Paretabad is functioning smoothly under local arrangements. Following steps have been taken by the Medical Superintendent to bring improvements in its operation.

·         The post of ETT technician has been included in SNE 2016-17.

·         A separate generator for the cardiac unit has been included in the SNE 2016-17.

·         A new defibrillator has been included in the SNE 2016-17.

·         The post of Pathologist has also been included in the SNE 2016-17.

·         As a stop gap arrangement a Senior Medical Officer of with diploma in Cardiology has been assigned to work as Cardiologist in addition to his own duties. He is managing the patients as per protocol.

·         The District Health Office, Hyderabad has posted three Medical Officers in the said unit who are capable enough to deal Cardiac cases and emergencies.

·         The Health Department has processed posting of 03 Cardiologists, recently recommended by SPSC. The process is on hold in light of orders of Honourable Supreme Court of Pakistan.
