*5781. MR. MUHAMMAD SHOAIB IBRAHIM: Will the Minister for Co-operation be pleased to state:-
Name/number of Co-operative housing societies against whose administrators cases of corruption and holding election of the society are pending in the Sindh High Court during 01-01-2008 to 30-06-2011 alongwith the names of Chairman and Secretary of the ex-managing committee with phone number?
ANSWER
SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Co-operation:
No cases of corruption are pending in the High Court against the Administrators duly appointed by the authority according to the procedure as laid down in the Cooperative Societies Act, 1925, Sindh Cooperative Housing Authority Ordinance, 1982 and registered Bye-laws of the societies.
*5784. MR. MUHAMMAD SHOAIB IBRAHIM: Will the Minister for Co-operation be pleased to state:-
(a) Is it a fact that two billion rupees from Merath Housing societies as well as 54 Lac rupees from the fund of Saharanpur Housing society have been spent,
(b) If answer to (a) above be in the affirmative, what procedure the said amount have been spent?
ANSWER
SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Co-operation:
10 Acres extra land was purchased for the members of the Meerut Cooperative Housing Society Ltd. Karachi. The balance amount was spent on construction of boundary wall over 150 acres of society’s own land to save the land from land grabber/illegal occupants, security of the society and on election expenses of the society. The affairs of the society were handed over to the new elected management of the society. Now, the elected the management is running its affairs. All this was done according to law, with the approval of the competent authority of the department.
It is not fact that 54 lac rupees from the funds of Sahranpur Cooperative Housing Society Ltd. Karachi have been spent:
As per order of the Hon’ble High Court of Sindh passed in CP No. 234/1999, the Administrator was appointed in Sahranpur Cooperative Housing Society Ltd. Karachi with the direction to the Administrator to scrutinize the claims of the members of the society. When the society was taken over by the Government, at that time. 15 lac rupees was at balance that was invested in purchasing of TDR, which is still lying over there with profit.
No funds of the society spent by the Administrator, but as per Order passed by the Hon’ble High Court of Sindh, the Administrator collect the scrutinize fees through advertisement and utilize the same regarding made the payments of Legal Advisor fee for legal advise of the claims individually, Salaries of office bearers, Security of land and other Miscellaneous expenses from time to time.
*6756. MS. HEER ISMAIL SOHO: Will the Minister for Rural Development be pleased to state:-
(a) Is it a fact that Sindh Government has started programmes at U.C. level to eradicate poverty;
(b) If answer to (a) above be in the affirmative, the details thereof?
ANSWER
SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Rural Development:
Since the Rural Development Department does not deal with subject of poverty eradication at U.C Level.
*6757. MS. HEER ISMAIL SOHO: Will the Minister for Rural Development be pleased to state:-
(a) Is it a fact that houses are being constructed specially for women in the rural areas of district Kandhkot and Shikarpur;
(b) If answer to (a) above be in the affirmative, the details thereof?
ANSWER
SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Rural Development:
(a) Rural Development Department has no any ADP scheme for construction of houses specially for women in the rural areas of district Khandkot and Shikarpur in the current financial year 2012-13.

(a) Is it a fact that 120 million rupees has been allocated during 2011-12 for construction of Sindh Cooperative College;
