*6435. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Sports be pleased to state:-
(a) Is it a fact that stipend is being paid to the players of difference sports in Sindh;
(b) If answer to (a) above be in the affirmative, the district-wise details thereof including the amount of stipend?
ANSWER
SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Sports:
(a) Sindh Regional Committee of Pakistan Sports Foundation Relief and fund established under the Pakistan Foundation Relief Fund rules, 2007. This fund is aimed to support needy sports persons in Sindh Sports Department actively passing on the benefit to the deserving eligible. The support is in the form of the monthly assistance Finance help for ailing players.
(b) Monthly assistance were also paid to the sportspersons and lumpsum amount were also paid to Sportspersons. Details are at Annexure, placed on the table of the House.
*6438. MR. SALEEM KHURSHEED KHOKHAR: Will the Minister for Sports be pleased to state:-
(a) Is it a fact that the steps have been taken to construct and develop Manoo Goth Football ground situated in union council No. 04 Essa Nagree, Gulshan-e-Iqbal;
(b) If answer to (a) above be in the affirmative, the details thereof?
ANSWER
SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Sports:
(a) Yes.
(b) The Scheme is included in the ADP, 2012-13 with an allocation of Rs. 10 million. The Scheme was approved by the DDWP on 2011 at cost of Rs. 22.250 million. Work on the Scheme started in the year 2011-12 and an expenditure of Rs. 6.900 million has incurred upto 30th June, 2012. During 1st quarter of Financial year 2012-13 Rs. 2.500 million has been released for this Scheme and work is in progress.

(a) Is it a fact that any tournament/programme has been held by the government for the young players belonging to minorities at Sukkur during March, 2008 to March, 2011;
(b) If answer to (a) above be in the affirmative, the details thereof?
ANSWER
SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Sports:
The 1st Sindh Sports Board and the National Bank Minority Sports Festival, 2009 was held at Jinnah Municipal Stadium, Sukkur from 6th November to 10th November, 2009 in which sports disciplines such as Cricket, Badminton, Table Tennis, Sprints and Tug-of War tournament were held. The prize distribution ceremony was held on 10-11-2009 at Al-Mehran Cultural Center, Sukkur where a Musical Show and Tableau was also organized which was largely attended.

District Karachi
Total 07 Football Inter Club/Inter Regional Tournaments were held in District Karachi from March, 2009 to March, 2012.
District Hyderabad
Sindh Sports Board, Karachi had organized a Minister Sports Sindh Inter Regional Foot Ball Championship w.e.f. 11th to 13th November, 2010 at Karachi in this tournament Hyderabad Region Team has participated.
District Tando Allahyar
The information may be treated as Nil.
District Tando Mohammad Khan
The information may be treated as NIL.
District Jacobabad
1. Inter District Tournament held in the month of March, 2010.
2. All Pakistan Shaheed Muhtarma Benazir Bhutto Foot ball tournament organized held in the month of April, 2012 at Jacababad.
3. Sindh Balochistan Shaheed Rani Muhtarma Benazir Bhutto Sahiba Football tournament held in the month of May, 2010 at Ghari Khiro night tournament Football held in the month of October, 2010 at special force ground Jacababad.
4. Sindh Balochistan Football tournament held in the name of Shaheed Rani Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in the month of April, 2011 at Garhi Kharo a Football Match was held in connection with celebration of Independence Day on 14th August, 2011 at Municipal Stadium Jabababad.
District Sanghar
Sindh Sports Board, Karachi had organized a Minister Sports Sindh Inter Regional Fool Ball Championship w.e.f. 11th to 13th November, 2010 at Karachi in the tournament the Mirpurkhas team has participated in this region two players from District Sangher were participated.
District Sukkur
1. Coaching camps was organized by Secretary District Football Association Sukkur at Gangoti Ground Rohri w.e.f. 01-12-2008.
2. Coaching camp was organized by District Officer Sports and District Football Association Sukkur at Gangoti Ground Rohri w.e.f. 01-09-2009 to 15-09-2009.
3. An Exhibition Football Match was organized by District Officer Sports and Secretary to District Football Association Sukkur at Jinnah Municipal Stadium Sukkur on 16-10-2009.
4. Football Boys coaching camp was organized by District Officer Sports at Gangoti Ground Rohri w.e.f 17-12-2009 to 24-12-2009.
5. All Pakistan Inter Board football Championship, 2009-10 was organized by Director Physical Education BISE at Jinnah Municipal Stadium Sukkur w.e.f. 20-01-2010 to 30-01-2010.
6. An Exhibition Football Match was organized by District Officer Sports and Secretary District Football Association Sukkur on Defence day at Navy Park Ground Rohri on 06-09-2011.
7. Football coaching camp was organized by District football Association Sukkur w.e.f 16-01-2012 to 31-01-2012.
District Shikarpur

For the promotion of the Football the following tournaments have been held.
1. During the months of December, 2008 Inter District Football was held at Kandhkot.
2. During the month of January, 2009 at Kandhkot Division Football Tournament was organized.
3. Football Team deputed for participation in the 1st Solidarity in the month of February, 2010 at Rahim Yar Khan.
4. Friendly Football Competition held in the month of February, 2011 at Guddu Kashmore.
5. Participation in the 2nd Solidarity Games, 2011 held from 8-10 March, 2011 at Rahim Yar Khan for promotion of football game.

District Mirpurkhas
The Sindh Sports Board was arranging time to time Inter Club, Inter District Football tournament and also participated Inter District Tournament at Karachi and various Districts of Sindh and these arrangements were continuously made as per by you by the Association and various Clubs for the promotion of football Games.
District Khairpur
Total 07 Football Tournaments were held in District Khairpur from December, 2008 to December, 2011.
District Badin
Total 05 Football tournaments were held in District Badin from April, 2008 to March, 2011.

Total 11 Cricket Tournaments were held in District Tharparkar from March, 2008 to March, 2011.
District Karachi

The Sports Department Government of Sindh has organize the First All Sindh Inter District T-20 Cricket Tournament in the year, 2009 (8th May to 19th May, 2009), Second All Sindh Inter District T-20 Cricket Tournament in the year, 2010 (11th April to 24th April, 2010) and Third All Sindh Inter District T-20 Cricket Tournament in the year, 2011 (21st April to 8th May, 2011) in all over the Sindh for promote the Cricket. In these tournaments, 24 teams of all district of Sindh Province were participated and these matches were played in different grounds of Sindh Province.
Football:
Total 05 Football Tournaments were held in District Karachi from March, 2008 to March, 2011.
Table Tennis:
Total 05 Table Tennis Tournaments were held in District Karachi from March, 2008 to March, 2011.

Football:
Sindh Sports, Board Karachi has organized a Minister Sports Sindh Inter Regional Football Championship with effect from 11th to 13th November, 2010 at Karachi in the Tournament the Mirpurkhas Region Team has participated. In this region two players from District Sanghar were participated.
Cricket:
Sindh Sports Board, had organized Inter District T-20 Cricket Tournament organized every year with effect from 2009 to date, district Sangher Cricket Team participate every year in above said tournament.
Table Tennis:

Approximately 16 tournaments have been held to promote cricket in district Matiari during March, 2008 to March, 2011.

(a) The PCB has informed that following players of Sindh are presently playing in the squad of Pakistan National Team:-

(b) The PCB has further informed that the players are selected on merit by the National Cricket Selection Committee.

RESOLUTION MOVED BY MS. SASSUI PALIJO, MINISTER FOR CULTURE, SINDH.
“This Assembly resolves and recommends that since Balochi, Punjabi, Pushto and Sindhi languages of Federating Units have not been given their due status in the Constitution of Pakistan and a series of movements is going on in the country to grant national status to these languages, therefore the Federal Parliament may effect amendment in Article 251 of the Constitution of Pakistan in a manner that above mentioned national languages of Pakistan acquire national status.”
RESOLUTION MOVED BY MS. NUSRAT BANO SEHER ABBASI, MPA.
“This Assembly resolves and recommends to the Government of Sindh to approach the Federal Government to give the status of a National Language in Pakistan to the Sindhi Language.”
