(a)   Is it a fact that all the shrines in the province are being run by the Auqaf Department;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is in affirmative, the details of those shrines which are not under the Auqaf Department and why?

No, it is not fact.

The details of the heads where the income collected from shrines are utilized is as under:-

(a)   Is it a fact that Dargah Sakhi Abdul Wahab Shah Jillani (Hyderabad) and Mosque were martyred;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is in affirmative, the reasons behind it along with time by when the same will be reconstructed?

 

ANSWER

MR. ABDUL HASEEB KHAN, Minister for Auqaf:

(a)      Yes, it is fact that Dragah Sakhi Abdul Wahab Shah Jillani Hyderabad and Mosque were martyred in 2009.

(b)      Due to re-development of Shrine it was martyred and it will be completed in 2012-13.

 

 

*4407. MS. ZAREEN MAJEED: Will the Minister for Auqaf be pleased to state:-

(a)   Lease period of the land leased for dargahs alongwith rate of amount of per acre lease;

(b)   Is it a fact that the income of dargah is annually audited;

(c)    If answer to (b) above is in affirmative, names of such dargahs?

ANSWER

MR. ABDUL HASEEB KHAN, Minister for Auqaf:

(a)      The detailed information is at annexure-I, placed on the table of the House.

(b)      Local Fund Audit Department Government of Sindh audit the income/expenditure of Auqaf Department.

(c)      Copy of all Dargahs is at annexure-II, placed on the table of the House.

 

 

*4408. MS. ZAREEN MAJEED: Will the Minister for Auqaf be pleased to state:-

(a)   District-wise detail/number of Madarsas exist in the province alongwith amount of fund allocated for the same during 2010-2011;

(b)   Criteria of madarsas being benefited of zakat fund;

(c)    Amount of fund being provided from Zakat fund to the district councils of Karachi?

 

ANSWER

MR. ABDUL HASEEB KHAN, Minister for Auqaf:

No any Madarasa is running under the Administrative control of Auqaf Department through out Sindh.

 

 

*4513. MR. ARIF MUSTAFA JATOI: Will the Minister for Auqaf be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that after abolition of the concurrent list in the constitution Auqaf is now a Provincial subject;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is in the affirmative, the legal steps taken in this regard?

 

ANSWER

MR. ABDUL HASEEB KHAN, Minister for Auqaf:

Auqaf Department was never Federal subject.

Number of Shrines/Dargahs where the close circuit C.C. TV, Security Gate and surveillance cameras has been installed alongwith the amount spent on it?

 

ANSWER

MR. ABDUL HASEEB KHAN, Minister for Auqaf:

There are three Shrines/Dargahs where the close circuit CCTV Security Gate and Surveillance have been installed. The details of amount spent on the Dargahs is as under:-

District-wise number of musafir khanas under the administrative control of Auqaf department in the province?

 

ANSWER

MR. ABDUL HASEEB KHAN, Minister for Auqaf:

Number of Musafir Khanas under the administrative control of Auqaf department is as under:-

(i)           “Musafir Khana” at Bhitshah District Matiari.                      (One)

(ii)          “Musafir Khana” at Sehwan Sharif District Jamshoro.          (Three)

(iii)        “Musafir Khana” at Saeedi Moosani District Dadu.                (One)

(iv)         “Musafir Khana” Yousif Shah Jillani, District Larakana.       (One)

(v)          “Musafir Khana” Dargah Sachal Sarmast Daraza Shairf.       (Two)

(vi)         “Musafir Khana” Dargah Shah Yakeek.                                 (Two)

(vii)       “Musafir Khana” Dargah Abdullah Shah Ashabi Thatta.        (Two)

*4549. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Auqaf be pleased to state:-

(a)   Total amount spend on the extension of shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi upto 31st December, 2010;

(b)   Amount collected from the shrine of Jiay Shah Jillani of Sukkur during 2008 as well as the head under which the amount was utilized?

 

ANSWER

MR. ABDUL HASEEB KHAN, Minister for Auqaf:

(a)      No, extension work done since 2007.

(b)      Total collection amount from the shrine of Jiay Shah Jillani of Sukkur during 2008 was amounting to Rs. 4,44,058/- in which Rs. 394058/- was utilized under the head of salary and Rs. 50,000/- under the head of Urs expenditure.

 

 

*4550. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Auqaf be pleased to state:-

Amount spend on repair and renovation of the shrine of Jiay Shah Jillani at Sukkur during 31-05-2009 to 31-12-2010 alongwith detail of work of renovation and repair?

 

ANSWER

MR. ABDUL HASEEB KHAN, Minister for Auqaf:

The amount spent on repair and renovation of shrine of Jia Shah Jillani at Sukkur during 31-05-2009 to 31-12-2010 is amounting to Rs. 10.104 million. Lavatory block, Musafirkhana and attached shops are completed upto roof level.
