The District-wise acres and value of agricultural land held by the Department as on 1-7-09 based on minimum registry rates and average market rates in the respective District?

ANSWER

MR. ABDUL HASEEB KHAN, Minister for Auqaf:

Value of agricultural land is subject to availability of irrigated water and soil conditions. This office has approached concerned DDOs (Revenue) and Taluka Mukhtairkars for furnishing their report consolidated report would be furnished.

*3017. MR. ARIF MUSTAFA JATOI: Will the Minister for Auqaf be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that 180 acres of land in Deh Moujan (P-2 Kunri), Mirpurkhas has been leased out at the rate of Rs. 707/- per acre;

(b)   If answer to (a) above be in the affirmative, name of the party along with terms of reference of the lease agreement?

ANSWER

MR. ABDUL HASEEB KHAN KHAN, Minister for Auqaf:

(a)      The land in question was leased out in open auction in the name of Mr. Shamsher Ali Khan for the period of Kharif 2002 of Rabi 2005 at the rate of Rs. 642/- per acre per annum, but due to shortage of supply of irrigation water he surrendered land to Auqaf before expiry period, the land remained vacant. Further the said land was again put in open auction at the rate of Rs. 706/- per acres per annum in Different time but no one participated at the time of auction dates, after that one offer was received through application made by Mr. Taj Mohammad Dahiri for lease of land in question at Rs. 500/- per acres per annum for the period of Kharif 2009 to Rabi 2012, the Auqaf department accepted the offer of the applicant and awarding to him, but same problems appeared before him, the lessee has also withdraw the same land in question due to shortage of supply of irrigation water. At present the land is also remain vacant.

(b)      Nil.

Detail/number of acres of land of Auqaf Department exist in District Thatta out of them number of acres land allotted on usher basis along with name of allottee?

Detail of distribution of Zakat during January, 2009 to June, 2010 in District Thatta          as well as detail of dowry amount distributed among bride and groom?

Details of distribution of Zakat during January, 2009 to June, 2010 in District Thatta        as well as detail of dowery amount distributed among brides are as under:-

i.     Distribution of Zakat during January, 2009 to June, 2010.

ii   Amount of Rs. 3,700,000/- (Rupees Thirty Seven Lac only) has been disbursed to 370 brides during January, 2009 to June, 2010 in district Thatta.

Town-wise detail of the Chairmen and Members Zakat & Usher of district East Karachi alongwith the criteria required to elect them?

ANSWER

i.     Town-wise detail of the Chairmen and Members Town Zakat & Ushr Committees are as under:-

ii.   Criteria Required to Elect them is as follow:-

The town Chairmen and Members are elected amongst the Chairmen Local Zakat & Ushr Committee of concerned town. According to Zakat & Ushr Ordinance, a person who possess secondary school certificate and who offers prayer five times during a day regularly and observe the fast throughout Remazan-ul-Mubarak according to the injunction of Islam to be the Chairman of the Local Committee, he shall not be a Government Servant.
