1.Resolution No. 157; given notice of by Ms. Heer Soho, MPAregarding Government of Sindh may approach Council of Common Interests (CCI) for deciding the matter of Chashma Jehlum Link Canal in order to avoid any controversy between the Provinces.
2.Resolution No. 114; given notice of by Mr. Arif Mustafa Jatoi, MPA regarding Sindh Government to immediately issue appointment orders to the 75,000 unemployed youth currently being given 4-6 months of skills training under the BB Youth Development Program so the skills training is not wasted.
3.Resolution No. 158; given notice of by Ms. Rainaz Bozdar, MPA regarding Government to take strict action against the culprits involved in the violence of any sort against women which is on increase in all parts of the Province of Sindh.
4.Resolution No. 137; given notice of by Ms. Naheed Begum, MPA regarding DNA sample of high profile terrorism cases are to be sent to Islamabad and Lahore as there is no such facility available in Karachi or elsewhere in Sindh Province. This causes undue delay not only to determine the cause of the incident but to get the real culprits booked. It is, therefore, resolved that the Government of Sindh must establish a latest DNA Laboratory in Karachi forthwith.
5.Resolution No. 155; given notice of by Ms. Husna Aftab, MPA regarding Caption published on KESC Bills “We are involved in the theft of electricity that’s why our children affected by Heat in Schools” by the management of Karachi Electric Supply Corporation is unethical and unlawful. While condemning this printed caption strongly, we demand KESC to delete this caption from the KESC Bills immediately.

2.Motion No. 22; given notice of by Syed Khalid Ahmed, MPA regarding this Assembly directs the Secretary to Government of Sindh, Works & Services Department to brief the Standing Committee on Works & Services on the functioning of the Department so that the Standing Committee may make its observations and recommendations to the House for taking such actions that provide relief to the common man.
3.Motion No. 36; given notice of by Mr. Arif Mustafa Jatoi, MPA regarding the introduction of the CNIC for disabled people is a very positive step towards their empowerment. This Assembly appreciates the initiative and does request the Government to approach the Federal Government to institute a special program throughout Sindh so as all those entitled to these Special Cards are issued them.

Amount allocated by the department for project development in the province during current fiscal year alongwith amount provided from 31-08-2008 to 30-04-2009 for the each project and actually spent during this period?
ANSWER
DR. MUHAMMAD ALI SHAH, Minister for Sports:
An amount of Rs. 296.05 million was allocated by the Government for Development Projectsof Sports Department during Financial Year 2008-09. Rs. 276.05 million were released, which was fully utilized during the fiscal year. Scheme-wise detail is at Annexure, placed on the table of the House.

(a)Is it a fact that a welfare fund has been established in the department to provide financial assistance to the needy sportsmen;

DR. MUHAMMAD ALI SHAH, Minister for Sports:
No such amount was granted to Sports Organizations by the Department during the fiscal year 2008-09.

(a)Is it a fact that Makli Cricket Stadium is deteriorating due to negligence of the administration;
(b)If answer to (a) above be in affirmative, the funds allocated for its repair and number of employees working therein?
ANSWER
DR. MUHAMMAD ALI SHAH, Minister for Sports:
The condition of Makli Cricket Stadium is not upto the mark. The department has issued instructions to the District Government, Thatta to take measures for its rehabilitation as it falls under their control.
